I have a Scout who is registered in a Troop in Sam Houston Area Council (576) and in a Ship in Bay Area Council (574). He is correctly shown in my.scouting.org roster for Troop 848 as having re-registered for 2026 under SHAC Member ID # 135123654. But in ScoutBookPlus roster for the Troop he shows as “Needs to Reregister” and is shown with Bay Area Council Member ID # 141430689. His SHAC ID # (135123654) is marked as “Primary.” Can this issue in SB+ be corrected and can the IDs be linked so that activities from the Ship appear in his Troop Activity Log is “show events from other units” is marked. His eligibility for OA may have been impacted this year because OA Eligibility Report didn’t pick up on Ship-based activities. Thank you!
@JohnRoberts9 as of now the advancements will never sync cause there are 2 councils and therefore 2 Member #s.
So they either need
-
A SB User for each member # for each unit - so they can be in communications (2 accounts)
-
Only one SB User where all advancement is recorded, but the other unit would not have SB communication with the scout or parents. (1 account)
Typically the 2 accounts is best, the scout just have to be diligent about keeping all advancement work with only one unit to record to one SB account.
OK. That’s clear. How do we get the correct Member # on SB+ roster?
Well the Scout needs to decide how to handle it - 2 SB Users - or 1 SB User.
He currently is showing with the same SB User Number (2099370) for the THREE units with which he is registered (Troop and Ship in Sam Houston Area Council and Ship in Bay Area Council). See attached screenshots. The top Member ID is what is showing as primary in my.Scouting but the bottom Member ID is showing in SB+.
What is shown in Legacy scoutbook really means nothing. As stated before the Scout, not unit leaders, needs to decide how to proceed
