Hi! I know this question has been asked an answered…asking again since it’s been 4 years. Is there any possibility of getting Councils to post their calendars in Scoutbook now that Scoutbook is the Scouting America system of record?
That would need to be a council Membercare ticket for the request.
I like the idea of the district and council having a calendar that a unit could turn on and off like a patrol or other unit.
In the meantime, if your council uses BlackPug for a calendar, it does support an ics feed as does Scoutbook. So in outlook or google, you can overlay Scoutbook, council, and district events. Not as integrated, but something I just started doing on my work calendar.
There was an effort several years ago to create Council calendars in Scoutbook. The effort was abandoned when Councils said they did not want to maintain or switch to a different calendar as what they had was working well. This was after Scoutbook was purchased by Scouting Amercia.
Unless Councils start asking for Scoutbook to support Council calendars, it won’t happen.
Yeah it is a BIG ask for council staff - maintaining multiple calendars
