AOL requirement greyed out

When I go into a scout profile and then select AOL, it is greyed out and indicates “You may start the Arrow of Light rank if you are a 4th grader who has earned the Webelos badge or are in 5th grade.”

They do have the Webelo rank and are in 5th grade. Any suggestions on how I can get around this. If I am just on their profile page, I can see them under current adventures but one of my scouts is still showing Webelo Adventures even though just above it is shows the Webelo rang completed and awarded.

Any ideas or solutions would be helpful. I have logged out and back in to see if it was a bug that would be resolved but it didn’t work.

Is the Scout in an AOL den? Is AOL set to the 2024 version?

On the roster is indicate he is an Arrow of Light Member. If you go into the AOL rank it notes that his Rank is Arrow of Light with the correct emblem. On the homepage of his profile under Current Adventures in the roster it shows 2022 requirements and has the Webelos adventures available but it shows that he completed Webelos with the progress bar above that. When I select Arrow of Light (which we have been working on and he has requirements marked off) it shows his percent complete and when I select View More to go into the detail of his Arrow of Light rank progress it is showing 2024 is grey including completed and awarded adventures, indicates that he has no progress made (which contradicts the progress bar on the previous page) and on the rank screen it shows 0% progress. I realized they weren’t unselectable, they were just grey indicating no progress. Once I went into an approved and awarded item and back out it show sometimes show his progress in the Arrow of Light Rank screen and other times it goes back to all grey and no progress.

So I went to unit entry under the roster and sometimes it let’s me update in that manner and other times it indicates there was an error with one or more requirements and try again later. I was able to get to it with jumping between unit and profile level entry but it is inconsistent for me at the moment.

You can close this if you would like since I found a work around at the moment but wonder if others may encounter the same issues.

Thanks for looking into it and no worries if this is the first report and you need to gain more examples since it’s inconsistent.

@MeganRodden do you have a moment for a screenshare so we can understand what you are seeing?

Sorry. I was away from my computer to pick my kids up. I am available now and I will take some screen shots as well. Let me know if you are available.

@MeganRodden I will send you a direct message > look at top right Avatar to find it > it will be a green envelope > it will be a private message channel with select members of the Scoutbook User Advisory Council (SUAC)
