Approved Date

Is there a way to change the APPROVED date for a scouts rank in Scoutbook Plus? My troop uses a third party software and we upload to Scoutbook plus after each CoH. We missed clicking through the APPROVED and awarded process in scoutbook plus and now a Life Scout’s APPROVED date is over a year past the date he actually earned the rank. We’re hearing that could trigger a flag to National for an explanation. This is an adult mistake and adult user error, not the scouts error. …is there anyway to correct it so the scout can advance to eagle without the worry of triggering a flag from National?

The approved date is just audit data so you know when and by whom the requirement was approved The ONLY dates that matters in the Scout’s record are the Completion dates. National will NOT see the approval date for life, only the Completion date of the board of review.

@kathyglynn - if you want to know what council/national will see a key 3 can go to my.scouting.org, then the unit then roster, check the box to the left of the scout name then in the grey menu click print and select Unit Advancement Details Report
