Archiving a dropped scout

Can someone tell me if there is a way to archive a scout who has dropped out?

All you do is add an end date to their membership in your unit. That doesn’t delete their account, just ends the membership in your unit. Then, if they return (or move to another unit), their account still exists.

In addition to what @CharleyHamilton mentions, I did a normal backup by exporting all of the logs and files. That gives the unit an offline copy. For a Scout who is turning 18 and not re-upping, I saved copies of her advancement, Scout, and activity reports.

OK, Great, Thanks very much. Tried it and it worked perfect. I like the idea that he is only archived and not deleted. But how do I retrieve him if he should want to rejoin?

When he re-registers Scout should reappear

If he decides to rejoin, as long as he is registered with the exact same FN, MN, LN and DOB, the system should find him. Ideally, the registrar would find the Scout and not assign a new BSA Member ID.

I would add that the existing BSA ID on the application would not hurt.
