It’s not terribly unusual for scouts who drop out at 15 to come back at 17 and ask “can I finish my eagle by 18?” - so my question has two parts:
- does scoutbook retain advancement data after a scout drops out? For how long?
- If so, can we get access to it, short of re-registering the scout?
Data is not deleted from Scoutbook. Just make sure you put the Scout’s old BSA Member ID on the application so he/she is not assigned a new one.
A unit admin can get the Scouts BSA History Report by entering the BSA Member ID and last name.

Thanks, that sounds great.
I can see how to get to it for a current scout, but can’t figure out how to get to it for one who is currently unregistered, but may come back if we can walk through the “timeline to eagle” with them. Assume we have their BSAID, say from a recharter report.
I tried just replacing “UserID” in the long URL generated from a current scout, but no joy.
From My Dashboard click Reports Menu then Scouts BSA History Report. Enter the Scout’s BSA Member ID and last name then click Run. This only works from Reports Menu on the My Dashboard page, not the reports menu on the Troop page.
