My Scoutbook user ID is 786760 and I’m trying to enter Cooking merit badge requirements for a scout whose ID is 11439962. After I select some requirements, enter a date and click Save, the Save button spins for about 4 minutes, then the single-word message “Error” is briefly displayed, and all the toggles I had selected are cleared.
@DavidTaflin- are you doing this in classic scoutbook or scoutbook plus?
Legacy scoutbook now turns into Scoutbook+ when start on advancement or Awards and is horrible nice graphics for a large screen, but impossible on a phone. Bad on a large screen. We have turned Scoutbook bad. With all of the errors it is ridiculous. Get us back to Scoutbook not Scoutbook+.
@ClarenceHoop- there is no return to Scoutbook. The code is outdated and massively unsupported.
I am also having the same problem. I tried entering completed requirements for First Aid Merit Badge last night and got an error message. I tried again this morning, and same message. This is in Scoutbook+.
What error message?
there is a message bar that appears and it states “ERROR There was an error updating one or more requirements, try again later.”
I’m doing this in Scoutbook Plus. I no longer see any option to update merit badge progress in plain ole Scoutbook.
If the Scout was on Cooking 2016, that is not included in Scoutbook Plus. Scouting America has said Scoutbook Plus will only support the 2 most recent versions of a Merit Badge.
You can get history for older Merit Badges by running a Scouts BSA History Report. Go to the Scout’s page in Scoutbook and click on Reports.
Roger that. This scout is on the 2024 requirements.
If you are the assigned MBC for that Scout and that particular merit badge, you can still use “My Merit Badge Counseling” tools in Scoutbook (legacy).
Thanks, that worked. I do hope Scoutbook Plus gets sorted before Scoutbook goes away.
MBC functions have not been migrated over to Scoutbook Plus, yet.
