I’ve been taking event attendance for a few months now in Scoutbook Plus, especially since the Scoutbook Legacy gives Forbidden errors when clicking on the links. The attendance to regular meetings keeps disappearing and not showing up on reports. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.
@GlennSimmonds- what report are you running ? Beyond that there is not much left in legacy scoutbook.
First thing to look at do all scouts in Troop have a Date Started Scouts entered

Have your permissions been updated for the “new” SB+ permissions structure that took effect some time back?

Yes, my position as SM is correctly reflected. I was running attendance and activity reports and there are attendances I entered and saved that were zeroed out and deleted. Almost every weekly troop meeting over the months of November and December read blank. Most of the events in the first 1/2 of the year were also wiped out. I’m trying to go back through manual notes to enter attendances back in but since I was relying on SB, I don’t have great paper records.

@GlennSimmonds- do all of the scouts have a date joined in their profiles ? You can also verify that using the OA report as it will note that date to be missing
Yes, I fixed that while trying to run OA eligibility reports. That’s when I noticed the events missing as well.
@GlennSimmonds- so the events no longer have the attendance ?
Yes, in some cases, we had entered things and they disappeared. The former scoutmaster and I just went through all of 2025 service projects and trips and made sure every one of them were re-entered so we can do the OA eligible reports and meeting signups.
@GlennSimmonds- i will note that the attendance does not enter things in camping and service logs. The log entries are not auto populated by attendance
Understand. We had multiple different issues. We had events we were sure were entered and recorded, like summer camp, completely disappear from the calendar. We had events on the calendar and the service hours recorded but the attendance logs were not also updated to match the service log entered. We had events where we thought we had entered the camping and service logs, but we couldn’t find them. We have things like meetings and other events, like fundraisers, where we took attendance, but those records now show no attendance information. We fixed all the camping and service hour events but not the weekly meetings because we don’t have manual check sheets of attendance anymore.
I’m not 100% sure you meant this the way I’m reading it, but the calendar-to-logs linkage is one way only (I.e. calendar events with activity entries and attendance push to activity logs). There’s no push from activity log entries to the calendar, either for events or for attendance/participation.
Was there anything unusual about those events (e.g. multiple units participating like linked troops)?
Not that I noticed. Most of the events that seemed to have data disappear only had attendance recorded, no activities because they were meetings or fundraiser type events.
Well so much for that idea. We don’t tend to use SB/SB+ for attendance, at least not historically, so I’m not sure how much more help I can offer.
Is there a DB history for the calendar that you know of?
