Be a Scout Map does not accurately reflecting units by distance or zip code

This is a question about the Be a Scout Map. I have two units in the zip code 13790 (Johnson City). but when you search 13790 on Be a Scout, there are three units listed above them that are not even in that zip code. Why is this and how can it be fixed?

The Zip code is based on what is on the charter paperwork I believe.

If you don’t hear anything soon here, you might want to push the question to national via your local council. The support team for BeAScout doesn’t take bug reports/feature requests from the SUAC folks.

And it is more a question for council to invetigate

The charter organization is within the zip code. They actually meet in the building that is their charter org.

Alright, Ill see what I can do. Thank you!

Yes, but on my old charter the charter used a PO Box a good distance from where we met. That is how I found out about the issue.

It is more than just the zip code entered must match the zip code for the unit. There is some other metric that is used. For example, if I search my zip-code I get both Troops in my city plus a neighboring city. If I search that city’s zip code, I get that city, my city’s units plus others.

Hopefully your Council can explain how it works.
