Bug - Cannot generate payment balance email for inactive scouts

Current functionality only generates emails for active youth. Should include inactive youth and inactive/active adults.

Yeah not sure I agree with that - will need some thought - you can get that data for those few and get it to them.

@GlennRotte - if they are inactive I doubt it will be a debt you can ever collect. They are inactive/disinterested for their reasons.

That is exactly what I think Developers are going to ask when they see the “Ask” I made - if they are outside the roster it gets more complex, I could see transactions still being on the Log - but a family taking action to make right on a debt that has no teeth.

When you say inactive, are you referring to those who are no longer on your official roster, those who have opted out immediately (and no longer receiving communications), or those who have opted out effective their membership expiration date?

They did not renew the youth’s membership. They have a separate youth who is still active. Scoutbook shouldn’t be making the decisions of whether a troop can pursue outstanding balances.

@GlennRotte

I doubt Scouting America security will permit communication to a former Scout’s family via Scoutbook. In this case, I suggest using your e-mail client to generate a personal e-mail to the family. I suspect that will have better reception than an automated e-mail from Scoutbook.
