When I go into a calendar entry and try to enter hours for service or camping nights, I am told the event must be in the future.“StartDate must be greater than today”
How am I supposed to enter the hours?
I tried re-creating the entries, but even new entries give me the same problem.
Cleared browser cache, refreshed,.

It doesn’t seem to let you edit an event at all, after it has been entered, not just adding activity hours. That same error you mention occurs for any attempted edit.

Adding to this issue:
When I try to make any changes to an event I am getting this error message
.
Here are the perimeters that are set for the start and end date:
.
It will not allow me to add or remove Scouts, etc. nor mark which ones actually went.

Actually, the best way to find out about fixes and updates is to subscribe to the change logs. Not every thread where an issue is reported gets a follow-up when a bug or feature is addressed.

I need to add - on my scouts i was trying to add Camping hours, I now see the hours listed multiple times, but still not attached to the event properly.
If you go into the event, there are no hours.
If you go into the scout, you can see the same hours listed 6 times (as that is how many times i attmpted). I also do not see a way to remove, unless I go in and set the hours down to zero maybe?
This is going to become a big problem for me. I just had a scout ask about camping merit badge counselor - he thinks he has 40+ nights, but he really only has 12…

I am having the same issue. I just noticed this piece of information stating “This event is in the past. You may only associate future events to unit/subunit calendars.”
This is exactly what happend to me. I now have scouts that have over 100 nights of camping because our summer camp last week is entered in 7 times. This use to work. What changed?

If you go into your Troops Activity Logs you are able to delete the extras.

So the activities are being logged for each scout when you try to add the activities to the event, regardless of the error being shown, but the activities don’t show up under the calendar event.
I am having the same issue.
As noted in the 4th post this has been reported and as all are on t he same database for all units the issue is shared by all units.
As reported in the Scoutbook-Scoutbook Plus Update, I can now add events to the calendar and post attendance. However, when I attempted to post the Camping days and nights, I got this error:
The camping day/nights would not save.
The same thing occurred when I tried to post service hours.
Actually, it seems like I can sometimes get the activities to save, even though that error appears. Take a look at the activity log and see if yours shows there. But the activity and calendar event aren’t linked. I also had to disable reminders, even though the reminders were already over with and sent.

Ryan: Thank you for that suggestion. I checked the activity log and everything I entered is there, despite the Error message. The fact that the error message is appearing is something that hopefully the developers can fix without too much trouble.
But there is another issue. The log is repeating each entry multiple times when there should only be one entry. Here is an example from my log - its the same for every Scout and adult who went on this event so they are getting 6 day/nights credited for this one event. It isn’t as bad for service hours - they only got it credited twice.
The issue is affecting the OA eligibility report as well.
Chuck
I think it will add it to the activities log every time you attempt it from the calendar. Just go into the activities log and delete the extra entries. Not from the report, like you are showing, but from the activity log page in Scoutbook Plus.
Thank you for the guidance. I followed it and it appears to have worked.
