Bug Report: Unable to opt parents out of unit messaging

I am the Committee Chair for my pack. We have several youth members who have opted out of participation, but their parents are still included in the unit email list.

I attempted to update the parents’ profiles by selecting “Opt out of unit messaging” and then clicking “Save Changes.” However, the change does not save, and I receive the following error message:

Error: Invalid request - "value" must be an object

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open a parent profile for a youth member who has opted out.

  2. Select “Opt out of unit messaging.”

  3. Click “Save Changes.”

  4. The error message appears and the setting is not saved.

Expected result:
The parent should be opted out of unit messaging and removed from the unit email list.

Actual result:
The system displays the error Invalid request - "value" must be an object, and the change is not saved.

Please provide an Scouting America Member ID (no names) of a parent where this error occurrs.

@ThomasChester how where the Scouts Opted out? in my.scouting or SB+? If SB+ did you choose “immediately”?

I chose immediately in SB+. The issue occurs with parents whose youth have not opted out as well.
