We’re a newly re-activated unit. I was popping into Scoutbook to learn and added our kickoff meeting for July. But after I set the time to start at 9am, the event appears in Scoutbook as starting at 7am. On Scoutbook Pro (Advancement?) when I look at the event, it says starts at 9am, but "local time 7am). I looked in Scoutbook at the unit timezone was set to Arizona. I also checked Scoutbook Pro, however could not get the timezone to save there. It says saved but after a refresh, it’s blank again. I also subscribed to the calendar in my Google Calendar and it shows the calendar’s timezone as UTC. I noticed in Scoutbook Pro on the calendar page it says under the Month “*Using time zone: America/Chicago GMT-05:00”
My computer is always in MST (Arizona). I’m using Chrome. Same issues via phone browser.
I also tried to change the Scoutbook Unit Timezone to something crazy (Hawaii time) and that seemed to have no effect on the calendar events. However, when I tried to set the timezone via Scoutbook Plus, it seemed to save that to Scoutbook (switched back from Hawaii time) but again didn’t save in Scoutbook Plus.
I’m wondering if this would be solved once I’m able to save the timezone in Scoutbook Plus or if there is still a deeper issue. Seems that timezones have been a hot topic over the years.
Thanks for any help!
