Cannot remove a former leader from Permissions Manager

@JenniferRothberg- well.. I would NOT be in legacy scoutbook for anything other than pay logs and MBC work. As Donovan noted unless they have permission in the new permission manager they can not do anything anyway.

oooh that is a very good point
but If I can’t remove the association with the old unit, then they can give themselves permissions?

maybe i’m asking for the wrong thing
. in scoutbook + my daughter’s profile is associated with the other troop. How do I remove it?

@JenniferRothberg- leaders in the other unit can only have permission to those on their roster. And where are you seeing the other unit in advancements.scouting.org ?

ok so reachout to the “not parent now labeled as a parent” and ask for help to remove all former members from their roster, so it stops forcing the connections to my scout. You can see she is still asscociated with 2 units in the photo from that area.

@JenniferRothberg- it would seem this was not done as a transfer but a multiple registration. I think the registrar should be able to end that position in the other unit.

ok back to registrar
they said they can’t fix scoutbook issues.

@JenniferRothberg- no but they can fix registration issues.

@JenniferRothberg Is this for Scout with first initial M. in Troop 2020?

No longer in Troop 2020. not since Feb 2025.

@JenniferRothberg It looks like instead of doing a transfer, the Scout had a multiple registration with Troop 2020, which expired / lapsed 12/31, but is still in the grace period.

I can try putting an end date on the position in Scoutbook, which should allow you to then clean old connections. However, it’s possible that the position might come back, because of the grace period.

@JenniferRothberg This is done.

@JenniferRothberg I would recommend contacting your local council and ask them to fix your parent / child “relationships” with M. Right now you show as both “Mother of” and also “Daughter of” M., which can sometimes cause issues.

Amazing! Can you also help the last name of this scout match registration? The all caps bothered her at summer camp because they called her something like all caps c! SB User ID:

@JenniferRothberg Please ask the local council for help removing incorrect parent connections. They can do it using their Volunteer Support Tools or they can submit a help ticket to National.

I asked and they sent me back here: Good afternoon,

Unfortunately, I cannot edit scout book connections etc. When I look in my.scouting Derick does not show connected to Morgan I only have you listed. You may refer to this Scout book forum group for further assistance. https://discussions.scouting.org/c/scoutbook/28
