Parents of Scouts listed in Scoutbook w/o emails. Also listed in Scoutbook+ with emails, but see no way to send email to them in Scoutbook+.
SB+ is not setup for messages yet - that is still in Legacy Scoutbook (scoutbook.scouting.org)
If they have the email addresses correct in my.scouting, you/they might be able to edit their profile (add/remove a character from their email address without leaving the page) to force a sync to Classic Scoutbook. I can’t recall if unit admins/Key 3 can update parent email addresses or not.
I do not have a way to post a new topic so adding here for guidance. We, as parents, are not able to receive ANY emails from scoutbook that are sent by other parents. We are able to receive emails from the troop leaders, but when parents lead activities or send communication on behalf of the troop, those emails are not reaching us. Support options are limited to ‘call your local council’… hoping there is another way to resolve this on my own. Please help! Thanks
@JamesWelch3 that usually means the unit has connections setup so parents are only connected in anyway to their own scout. If units want parents to use messages for things like that all parents need to be connected to all scouts by at least View Profile
How do we enable this - can I do this, my local council, or our troop leaders?
@JamesWelch3 Unit SB Admins can - Using Connection Manager to Set Positions (SB) - Scoutbook Knowledge Base
Keep in mind, you’ll have to update the connections every time a new scout joins.
