Welcome! This forum has a treasure trove of great info – Scouters helping Scouters! Just a heads up, though - all content, information, and opinions shared on this forum are those of the author, not the BSA.
In Scoutbook Plus, I am trying to ensure one of my den leaders is correctly assigned to his den. When I try to add him to the den (from the Roster page, Edit Den option, adding to Adult in Den section) I get this error:
Leader is already registered in the den - leaderUserIds: 12815946
I have a suspicion it’s because his Registered Position is Tiger Den Leader but I’m trying to add him to his (now advanced) Wolf den. I’m able to add him to the (now advanced) Tiger den, but that’s no longer current for his kids.
What is the cause of this issue and how do I fix this for my den leader?
In the screenshot, I’ve selected user 7190625 and that is who I’m trying to add to Den 9. But when I try, I get the above error (which mentions leaderUserId 12815946 (do leaders have a different leader id from their member id?)).
@SeanDooley - there is a scoutbook userID and a BSAID two different numbers. If you look at their record in scoutbook.scouting.org it will display both under their picture.
@SeanDooley - can you go to scoutbook.scouting.org and that leader in the roster and check their positions ? As a current tiger den leader position was mentioned.
Thank you both. I believe I’ve been able to add an end date to the Tiger Den Leader position and that seems to now allow me to correctly assign them to the Wolf den.
Though all of that process was done in Scoutbook, not Scoutbook Plus. Is this another element on the backlog to migrate forward?
Tangent: do leaders need to be assigned the rank-specific den leader when available (lion, tiger, webelos) or can they be a regular den leader assigned to their respective dens? This seems a little limiting in the current style.
