Welcome! This forum has a treasure trove of great info – Scouters helping Scouters! Just a heads up, though - all content, information, and opinions shared on this forum are those of the author, not the BSA.
Hello! My son has an active membership to a troop (520), and I’d looking to transfer him to another troop (271) as we have moved. I’m trying to use the “transfer” page on my.scouting.org, but when I try to find troop 271 in the page, it doesn’t give any results, simply says “no data”. I contacted the committee members of troop 271 and they suggested I post in this forum with this question. Would greatly appreciate any help here!
I am using Chrome on a Windows laptop, and I am able to log in to my (adult) account and can see my son under my account. The issue is only that I can’t find the new troop to transfer to in the “transfer” page.
Stephen is correct, if you are switching Councils, you must use beascout.org.
If you are not changing councils, find out what the 4 digit unit number actually is. Every unit number is 4 digits but many units drop the first digit, even when it is not 0. If this still does not work, you will need to contact your Council office for assistance.
