How can I mass approve Merit badge partials that have been imported from Summer Camp. The requirements are marked as “Completed”, but need to be in one of the “Approved” categories to be able to print Blue Cards.
I tried Going to Roster → Advancements → To Approve → Requirements:
In that section, I only see the ability to approve requirements for badges that are “Complete”. I don’t see the badges that are partials.
I have scouts that want Blue cards to take to local counselors that show what is done, but the system will not let me do that.
@JasonKracht - most likely the items you are seeing in the to approve section ARE those requirements that need to be approved. I also think you can re-run the import with activating the approve slider.
The ones being shown in the approval tab are for another scout that is Dual Registered in another unit. Their advancement is tracked there and I don’t want to approve for them. The ones I am trying to do are not listed in that section.
I will try the import again, but last time I did that, the system threw all sorts of errors & didn’t do the additions that I wanted.
@JasonKracht - was this a black pug or tentaroo site ? If black pug the camp has under reports a blue card print options and I seem to recall that tentaroo does as well.
You can also work with the download file and use filters to get the info you need.
I was able to redo the upload. Lots of errors but it added the ones I wanted.
However I should be able to bulk approve individual requirements from the approval screen without having to do a re-import, or go to an individual scout/MB and do the quick entry.
We did not do the “Leader Approved” on the initial import, because normally our Advancement Coordinator wants to do the import, so our camp team does the entry/import, then advancement does the approve.
Post the Scouting America Member ID (no names) for a Scout where you cannot approve reqs with To Approve along with the MB and reqs that need approval. We will investigate.
No I am not trying to approve as MBC, I am trying as unit leader. This is to print blue cards for a local MBC so a scout can finish up a partial.
Yes, I went into the MB to see that the requirements were marked as complete (green). I can do quick entry here to add approved checkbox for each req, but this is manual, slow and subject to error.
@JasonKracht - i had a thought on this that it may be related to the action of the import. The completed MB are fine but i did note that the percent completed on partials were off on our scouts. I went into those partial merit badges and removed the approval check, saved and re-approved and the percent was increased. With that in mind I wonder if the partials in your case could have been pushed to the To Approve by modifying one req.
@JasonKracht - was this blackpug or tentaroo as either one can give you a report on partial merit badges. That way you will have the full list to work with.

140485431 - Cooking is at 51% and all reqs entered are approved
140796726 - cooking is at 100% - at a glance all Reqs are approved - not sure why the MB is not approved
