I accidentally entered two merit badges for the wrong scout. I used quick entry and completed/approved all the requirements, then I realized it’s for the wrong scout. I can’t seem to unapprove. Animation and Archery should be removed. ID 140480550. Thanks
@EthanLido - I would start with the overall approval check box then go requirement by requirement unchecked approval save then remove date and save. Nobody on the forums can remove these.
If the req has more than one sub requirement you have to click on the > to get to the data and unapprove
It seems I have to click > then uncheck Mark Approved/Recorded then save then clear the completion date then save again. For every subpart. I was wondering if there’s an easier way
There is an easy way in the backlog - but for now that is the way.
Understood, thank you.
Also, general question, do the individual requirement dates matter for Quick Entry? Or can I just enter the Final Completion Date, then Mark as Approved/Recorded.
The only date of record is the final date - no one other than scout and unit ever see requirement dates - they are solely for tracking
@EthanLido - entering the requirements on partials allows the scout and unit to see where the scout is toward completing ranks, awards and merit badges
That’s what I was thinking as well. But for start/completion in the same day or week (say at summer camp), no need to mark EACH requirement as completed (and to avoid this constant unchecking and removing dates LOL)
@EthanLido If a merit badge is completed, there is no need to mark off all of the individual requirements. That is really for partials. Think of it as a communication device with the Scout, so that the Scout knows what requirements have been completed, and those that still need to be completed.
The exact date a requirement is finished on a partial is not important. The camp my troop attends uses a single date for all MB requirements. I believe it is the last day of MB work each week.
Before we had the blackpug upload capability, I used this date in QE for all Scout’s summer camp work, both requirements and final completions.
