Can't unapprove rank items after approving?

Today my Scoutmaster and I (advancement chair) have been testing out the app before we roll it out to parents.

He checked off a Scouts advancement for Scout rank, requirement one as his father.

I did not get a notification added to my bell icon btw

I went into my Scoutbook Plus=>Roster=> Advancement Tab=>To approve…then scrolled down to Requirements section and saw the item sitting there.

I checked the item, then clicked “Approve Item”

It worked, showed up on his profile.

So now what if I want to undo that? I guess I cannot unapprove it? Last night after much hunting I figured out how to unapprove a merit badge (as long as it hasn’t been awarded). But I haven’t been able to find a way to unapprove this rank requirement?

Is it possible to unapprove a rank reqt?

@NicoleAllen3- you should be able to unapprove a rank requirement. You need to get back to what was just approved.

If you click on the Scout’s name on the Roster, then click on the rank. Look for the requirement that you want to unapprove, then uncheck the box next to where it says “Mark as Approved/Recorded”. You might need to save afterwards at the bottom.

That’s what I tried immediately.

I went to Roster, selected Scout, then went to Scout rank (which was showing 6% but this Scout hasn’t done anything yet, just joined).

Tried to remove the date. It wouldn’t let me. Then unchecked the box that says “Mark as Approved/Recorded” and saved.

After saving, it remained unchecked, but still has a date, and a “Completed” emblem in green at far right, and his rank is still showing 6% progress for Scout rank and it should be 0%.

Again, we’re not worried about this not getting fixed - the Scout will be attending a campout this weekend geared toward First Year Scout Skills so should be working on this anyway.

But I wanted to test if I could fix it, and I can’t.

Based on your picture, the item is marked as completed, but not yet approved. This is equivalent to saying that the Scout is ready to be tested on the requirement.

If it was entered in error, click on the calendar icon, and then click X to remove the date.

Geez, I just tried again and this time it worked. I didn’t do anything differently this time compared to last time (a few hours ago). So not sure why it let me this time…

So I reread your message and it said " click on the calendar icon and then click X to remove the date".

I didn’t see the x at first, then hovered over the calendar and then the x showed up. I cleared the date unchecked the box and then saved and it worked.

Previously I had been highlighting the entire date using my cursor and then hitting the delete button on my keyboard and it wouldn’t remove the date. I didn’t see the x.

So now we know how to unapprove these, were the need ever to arise.

Thanks so much!
