Maybe its just me or should there be checkboxes for the needs Purchasing items?? at times the scout shop is out of items when I go to pickup and the way I am I will not mark awarded until I give the awards to the secretary or the scout, so at times the PO is still open due to some items were not purchased (obtained) at the time. the needs awarded and needs approval has check boxes… why not needs purchasing right???
The recommended process when you can’t purchase everything on a PO is to delete the PO which puts everything back on the Needs Purchasing report then create a new PO with what you were able to purchase, leaving the unavailable items for another PO.
There is an item in the backlog to allow units to delete items from a PO and return them to the Needs Purchasing Report but at this time we do not know if or when the BSA will schedule it for implementation.
