Welcome! This forum has a treasure trove of great info – Scouters helping Scouters! Just a heads up, though - all content, information, and opinions shared on this forum are those of the author, not the BSA.
I have a scout #135880681 who I’m trying to help to make a youth scoutbook account. I think his parent may have made an account using the same email for her and the youth. The parent doesn’t remember any log in information. I’ve reach out to our council and am waiting to hear back but I was wondering if anyone on here could help? Thanks!
The Scout does not have a my.scouting.org account which is what is used to log in to Scoutbook. He should just go to my.scouting.org and create an account.
There is an issue with his relationships with his mother that your Council needs to resolve using the Relationships tab of Registrar Tools. His mother is connected to him as both mother and son. The Council needs to remove the bad relationship.
I think he tried to make an account on my.scouting.org but got a new BSA# when they tried to make an account. Is there a place to make sure he can link his correct BSA number #
@ChastineCorrea It looks like they misspelled his first name when creating his username (login) at my.Scouting, and that is why a new member ID number was created.
