Deleting event date causes failure

When creating a new event in scoutbook plus, I deleted the information in the event date field to type in a new date instead of picking from the calendar. As soon as the event date field was blank, the whole screen went blank and showed an error message to clear the computer cache.

This is an irritating issue that should be fixed.

Thanks

@WilliamPim I tried to reproduce this but cannot - that error sounds more like it is coming from your computer though - I have never seen a SB error that says to clear cache. Can you get a video of it?

Attached are 2 photos, first just before the error, second after I delete the whole date field content the clear cache error screen appears.

So is the event saved first - then you delete the date field?

no, not saved. Just start creating a new event, working from top to bottom. When you get to the date field the mini calendar opens, in the date field backspace out the date, like you are planning to type it in, and as soon as the field is blank the error occurs.
I did not add attendees.

@WilliamPim- i was able to reproduce the error but will admit that I have never backed out the date. I just use the calendar as presented.

Thanks for digging into it. I hope this can be fixed. Typing is sometimes faster than scrolling through the calendar.
