Den Assignment Bizarreness

Our new committee chair assigned two new scouts to their respective dens. Or so we thought. SB now shows two identical dens with those scouts in the new ones (see pic below). Furthermore, when I go into SB+ to attempt to fix this, their names do not appear in the roster. Please help.

Well the main issue is you are using legacy Scoutbook which is basically dead. You have likely created duplicate dens that cannot be deleted until a universal fix happens.

I suggest Key 3 go to Scoutbook+ and organize the dens there - deleting old dens after new ones are made if needed. Their names will not be on roster, but sill be there to make a new den or to reassign to a den

And do not log into Legacy SB anymore, except to send messages with attachments until that is fixed.

Thanks for the quick reply. I do not think the issue is SB, as the CC assigned the scouts in SB+. I am a key 3 (CM), and I do not see these scouts in the roster on SB+. I am very confused because I can see them in SB, and I can see them in the messages portion of SB+ and when I pull a roster report in SB+.

Most commonly, roster issues have to do with the state of the roster filters, as noted in the blue message box at the top of these forums:

If your roster is blank, select the roster filter then click Reset Filters.

If you are having trouble with a small number of Scouts or Leaders, the first question the SUAC will ask is what is the Scouting America Member ID. You can save time by providing this in your initial post. We do not need or want names, just the Member ID.

Even if the filters look set correctly, I typically force a reset anyway to check whether that’s the underlying issue.

Classic Scoutbook has been retired for packs for a very long time (except for payment logs which just migrated, and the persistent issue with attachments).

Thanks. Resetting the filters indeed fixed the problem.
