Den Chief Approved But Not Appearing As Available

I am trying to add a den chief to a den in Scoutbook. I have successfully sent the request to the Troop and received an email confirming that the request was approved and he can now be added to a den. However, when I go to edit the den in ScoutbookPlus he is still not showing up. I see someone else had the same issue in October 2025 and posted on this forum but it doesn’t show that anyone was able to help resolve. Any guidance would be appreciated

If you provide the scout’s Member ID (no names, please!), the SUAC folks may be able to investigate further. It’s generally hard for them to say much without that information.

Hi Charley. Thank you for the response. The Member ID is133622308.

Thank you

DCs we are blind to - what I have advised is have the Troop end the position and go through the steps again - that seems to work.

But this scout has no DC position, so I doubt the troop ever approved the position

I have a scout also works as den chief Jun-Dec 2025 added via scoutbook legacy.

It was not in the dropdown list in leadership?

does it mean that position not counted towards leadership? thanks.

@LaihungNg I think for this scout I would restart the process - if the DC appears in Legacy for the Scout end it - then in SB+ re-invite from the pack

Trying to sort out an issue adding a Den Chief from Troop 994 to Pack 868 within National Capital Area Council and looking for advice or confirmation if others are seeing similar behavior.

What’s happening:

  • On the Pack 868 side, we followed the recommended workflow:
Roster → Add Individual → Add Den Chief → Search by last name & member ID
The Troop approved and the system generated the confirmation email as expected.

  • Despite that, the Den Chief has not appeared on the Pack 868 roster after a week, even after retrying the process.

  • Council staff (NCAC) didn’t see anything obvious preventing it and suggested posting here in case this is an unintended bug in Scoutbook Plus.

Thanks for any insight from those who have dealt with this.
