Welcome! This forum has a treasure trove of great info – Scouters helping Scouters! Just a heads up, though - all content, information, and opinions shared on this forum are those of the author, not the BSA.
The update to Eagle 2022 requirements is showing 22 merit badges. it did not shift the extra non-required merit badge to Eagle Palms.
Additionally, I am seeing extra Eagle Palms appearing that were not there before the update with no requirements completed but showing a completion percentage greater than 0%.
This shows for all the scouts. Here is a partial shot for a brand new scout - has spaces for 22 merit badges for Eagle. The text still says 21 merit badges.
I’ve also noticed it spot checking other scouts in our troop. Whether they have the number of non-required or not, it shows 22. And the extra has not shifted to Palms when they have enough.
@edavignon I think I see what is wrong with the Palms. I ran an individual advancement report for the same scout and had a copy from just before the update.
Eagles is showing only 8 merit badges instead of 21, so the rest are spilling over into the palms.
@edavignon appreciate the update and the Eagle page and Palms list now looks good in the main application, but I noticed a new issue in the Individual Advancement Report after the update. Same scout. Life now shows 11 merit badges, but it’s not including the 6 earned for the rank of Star. So now it is including merit badges earned after the sign-off date for requirement 3 and even a merit badge that hasn’t been completed yet even though the scout has completed and earned the rank.
I can confirm the error on the Individual Advancement Report. The 21st merit badge is reported under the Bronze Palm. A Scout with 25 merit badges is shown as having completed the palm merit badge requirement.
