Email from Scoutbook indicating removal of MBC role

I received the following email indicating that my name wasn’t listed as a council-approved merit badge counselor. Additionally, when I log into Scoutbook, I no longer am showing any connection to Troop 14B where I’m a Pack Admin, Committee Member, Advancement Chair and MBC.

I reached out to our Bluegrass Council’s office and they’ve confirmed everything on their side appears good and that I should reach out to Scoutbook support. Additionally, my scouting profile shows my MBC and Committee Member expiration date as 12/31/25.

Here is the email received…

Your council has recently uploaded a new list of council-approved merit badge counselors. That list does not include your name or other information which allows Scoutbook to determine that you are an approved merit badge counselor. This could be for any number of reasons, including different spellings of names.

At this time Scoutbook is no longer listing you as a merit badge counselor. If you feel that you have received this email in error, please contact your local service center. Once your status is updated by the council, your status will also be updated in Scoutbook.

You need to speak with your Council. Someone marked your Scouting America Member ID as deceased. This caused the Member Update process to end all of your positions in Scoutbook.

@RobertWallace8 I called council and sorted out for now - we need to give it 24 hours to see what happens.

Thank you all so much for digging that up. I’m not sure why they directed me to reach out to SB support rather than checking further.
