I have continued to update ranks in Scoutbook, as I had a chance to get each Scout’s printed book. For older Scouts, this has been an on-going catch-up process for the ranks they had earned prior to our move to Scoutbook. I have done this so I can give our Eagle candidates their Advancement Record. In Legacy Scoutbook, this worked. Now that Advancement is in Scoutbook Plus, I don’t seem to be able to enter historical data for a rank awarded. How do I do this or is it not possible?
Once a rank is earned there is no need to go back and fill in all the requirements. All the Eagle processors look at is rank completion dates, not that the requirements are filled in.
What is happening when you try to enter requirements for completed ranks? We need more detail than it doesn’t work.
@edavignon - I cannot choose the Scout. Example - a Scout finished 2nd Class in 2020. Thus, he would have been the 2016 version. It will not let me choose any of my Scouts to enter the info. The 2022 version probably won’t work with a 2019 completion date. I know it is not required for Eagle. However, when I print his Advancement report, 5c - 11 of 2nd Class and 1 - 12 of 1st Class will show as empty lines, as it is at the moment.
What happens if you go directly to the Scout’s 2nd class rank and try to update the requirements there instead of using Quick Entry.
@edavignon - 5c and following are greyed out with no way to enter the date or approve. It shows “not started” on the right. 5b shows “approved” in that same space.
I continue to have trouble trying to enter a Scoutmaster conference for 2nd class. (Scout 134454691) The item is grayed out. When I attempt to mark it as complete, I get a message that the scout did not do a scoutmaster conference for earlier ranks. Of course, he did do those earlier conferences. Today I tried Quick Entry and got the same message.
I have tried going back to the earlier ranks to enter dates for those earlier conferences and Scoutbook Plus will not allow me to change anything on the earlier ranks. Any suggestions?
@WilliamFenton this should be fixed - can you try an Incognito window or a cache clear for us?
I confess I am not tech-savvy enough to understand your suggestion. What are you asking me to do?
If you are using Chrome, click the 3 dots in the upper right and select New Incognito Window. In Firefox this is called a Private window.
Once you have the incognito window, log in to Scoutbook Plus in that window and try again.
Sorry, the Incognito window didn’t help. Here is the message I am getting.

I think this might be outside of the fix as the 2 ranks are on the same version - we are checking
