I tried to print blue-cards for two scouts today and I keep getting an error message.
@DavidBrtva I do see an bug in it but it comes up fine for me - please try a Hard Refresh or a Incognito Window
You might be hitting a permission issue - let me check
@DonovanMcNeil - I just tried surveying MB ffrom my son’s mb list and got the same error. And @DavidBrtva bravo on him working on surveying mb.. there are not many of us counselors around.
Can you give it a try from Legacy > Unit > Print Blue Card?
Thank you both my boys have done it and we are meeting with a counselor tonight because they finished the last requirement
I will give it a try
That worked. Thank you.
@DavidBrtva - I can confirm that blue card printing works from legacy. I do hope they enjoyed surveying. I just recently purchased an electronic theodolite to use in addition to the old school transit level. Easier for them to read the angle on an electronic theodolite.
I had the same error message, but I was able to print using Legacy.
Although I was able to print completed blue cards in Legacy, I am not able to print the partials from summer camp. The first time I tested it, the pdf generated with the competed items listed in the requirements chart. Now it will not. I would like to avoid writing it all in by hand.
Can you be more specific? What will not? Partials not filling in? Blue Card not generating at all? We need more details to investigate and report
It generates a blue card with the name of the merit badge and Scout’s information, but the work completed does not fill. The chart remains blank, so there is no printed record of what the Scout has already completed. The first time this morning that I tried to create a pdf to print, it worked fine. But when I tried again, the chart was blank.
Please try an incognito window or clearing your cache.
Incognito window was unsuccessful. After clearing the cache, 50% of the charts were filled but not all. The pdf also generated multiples of the same blue card for some of the Scouts, but not all. The merit badges were different types, not all Camping, etc.
@AshleyWorth- I did a test with a scout that i recently worked on a MB with and selected just one mb to print the blue card. The result was this:
1- the 8.5x11 is a 3-up presentation so it will run the three cards for blank paper.
2 - this was a single mb completed so all that the grid had was all completed at the top
3- two cards with all info were generated and the last was blank.
So your instance of multiple cards for the same person is that it is filling out the 3 cards per sheet to make the full complement of cards.
But… How can I get the system to generate a blue card that is partially complete with the letters and numbers of each item completed and the date? We have quite a few merit badges where the scouts did not complete all of the requirements. There hasn’t been a problem printing the completed merit badges.
@AshleyWorth - this is what printed out for cooking which is not completed
