Error on activities

If we got a banner in Scoutbook, it would at least get to the units who use Scoutbook.

@Matt.Johnson - oooo good ideaā€¦ but it would require reading and based on past history both in the forums, scoutbook and IAā€¦ not going to hit full potential :slight_smile:

True, but even a 50% cut in the number of questions would be great. Plus with the ā€œscouters helping scoutersā€ on the groups (and other contexts), pretty soon penetration is improved drastically.

Okay so the ā€œworkaroundā€ does not work. I need to enter in the activities hours for my scouts and this has gone on for quite some time now. Is there any estimated time to fix this? I moved away from another tracking database that cost the Troop money to this and now this doesnā€™t even work and there seems to be no sense of urgency to fix it. The ā€œdevelopersā€ donā€™t have to deal with parents asking why the information is not updated and conveniently this forum is the only place to report a problem. This bug is holding up advancement activities!

@JasonRabon - you followed the process exactly ? Was there an error presented ? What is your role in the unit ?

I am the Scoutmaster. Listed as ā€œKey 3 Delegateā€. I followed the process exactly as listed and tried Explorer, Firefox, and Edgeā€¦ I have tried numerous times. Same error when trying to modify existing activities. So am I right in assuming we have to add all new activities?

@JasonRabon - couple of things. as Scoutmaster, you are a key 3 and would not need to be a delegate. The work around as noted is to create new activities to replace those which can not be edited by starting at the roster and moving through to create the event. That has worked flawlessly for me and is actually my preferred method.

I have been dealing with the same issue.
I have a camping trip with over twenty scouts I added before I saved and couldnā€™t get around the Whoops message. It has been about three weeks and the data is starting to pour in from troop activities! Sometimes it works, sometimes not. I deleted the camping trip and reload a new post with the same information and got the same result. Unacceptable! Please fix this soon!
