Error when assigning Den Chief to Webelos Den

I have an approved Den Chief on my roster in Scoutbook Plus. He was assigned to our AOL den, but has been Unassigned since they crossed over in February. I’m now trying to assign him to a Webelos Den. When I try, I get an Error that says “User is not a member of the unit - userID XXXXX - unitID XXXXX.” He is/has been listed on our Roster in Scoutbook Plus and can be added to all our Events with the other Den Chiefs. Is this a move his Troop needs to do? Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

might need a screenshare to gt more data @KristenRibe

Here is the Error I’m seeing - I blacked out the youth’s name. Is this helpful? I can’t see his Profile details but I can’t see the profile details for any Den Chief in our Pack. Basically he looks like all our other Den Chiefs do on our Roster, but I can’t assign him to a Den for some reason. I am a Pack Admin so I don’t think it’s a role/access issue, I’ve moved Den Chiefs before. Unless there is a different way to add Den Chiefs to dens in Scoutbook Plus (vs adding Scouts to a den) and I’m not doing it correctly? Thank you!

@KristenRibe are you trying to add the scout a second time by clicking Add individual > Den Chief?

No. I am looking at my Roster, and sorting by Den. He is in the Unassigned group at the bottom as he’s not attached to a Den at the moment. I am choosing “Add to Den” there (hovering over the dot/line icon), picking Webelos in the Drop down, and then getting the error when I hit Save. I assign all our new Scouts to dens this way so thought he would work the same way - maybe Den Chiefs are a different process?

@KristenRibe - i would try via edit den

OK @KristenRibe I see the error - there is nothing under Edit Den yet @Stephen_Hornak

@DonovanMcNeil - thanks as I thought i saw den chief there

Click on their name in the legacy Scoutbook pack roster. There is an option to select the den there.
