I get the following error " Whoops! We encountered an error trying to process your request.
Please go to Scoutbook Bugs - Scouting Forums to report this issue." when trying to delete only certain merit badges that got listed on my sons advancement when we linked him to a councilor. We are tring to clean up his account by deleting the merit badges he is not working on, some will delete but some give the error message above. The same merit badges seem to throw the error code, no matter the scout or device used.
@Archrms - are you using this:
Does this only happen when trying to delete merit badges that have an assigned merit badge counselor?
I am a unit admin, the error pops up when it asks me to conirm the removal of the merit badge. None of the merit badges has any progress.
I have deleted several other MBs that had counselors assigned with no issues. Seems to be limited to certain merit badges.
@Archrms Which merit badges are giving you the error messages?
Cit ini Soc., Cit in World, Cit in Comm, Cit in Nation, Disabilities Awareness, Pers. Mgmt., Digital Tech, Public Speaking, S&R. INitially it seemed likeit was only certain MBs. But the more scout records I try to clean up, I am finding that I get error codes for some that I have already deleted on other accounts. Makes no sense.
@Archrms - there really is no harm in the merit badges being listed and not worked. It does not have any effect.
@Archrms What is the Scout’s first initial?
Jennifer,
It is multiple scouts that I am having this issue with. Home computer and phone had same results this morning. At work now and I was able to delete a few more MBs, then started getting the error message again. I have one scout cleaned up now, and have deleted half of the remaining MBs from the other scout.
Now it is throwing the error code all the time, not allowing any more deletes.

@Archrms The Whoops error seems to be widespread. I have reported it to the developers.
In Scoutbook (legacy), could you try going to:
[Scout]'s Connections
Click on the name of the Merit Badge Counselor.
Uncheck the boxes next to the merit badge(s) that you want to remove.
Click “Update” to save.
Then see if you can remove the merit badges.
