I am a den leader and it will not let me approve my child’s adventures in scoutbook plus. I am recording under the den admin position. It states “error your positions and related permissions do not allow you to perform this action”. It let me approve the child’s adventures just a month ago. But now, it lets me approve all my other cubscouts in my den except my child. Ive read other threads on this topic but they are over a year old. I was able to approve all adventures last year for my whole den including my child.

It is still giving me the same error. Is there anything I can do?

Can you add the completion date without the approved box checked? If so, look under the to approve tab over advancements to approve them.

That’s where you get the error, right? Try going to the roster page, and click advancement > to approve.

You can’t do final approval from QE because it is already complete. You need to select your Tiger DL role, go to his Tigers in the Wild adventure, click the Approved check box then save.

There is work in progress to fix the error you are receiving. If you are getting it on his Adventure page, your options are to clear the final completion and try again via QE, have a Key 3 approve the adventure or wait for the fix.

Theres a couple other den leaders in my pack who can’t approve their own scouts like me and are having the same error message. We were all able to complete the adventures before and now all the sudden we can’t. When is the fix?

Scouting America IT does not comment on the schedule for planned fixes.

I am selecting tiger DL role, going into the adventure and clicking aprrove then save. That’s when I get the red error “Error your positions and related permissions do not allow you to perform this action” at the bottom of the page.

I have tried clearing my cache. I have tried incognito mode. I have checked with my pack leadership to make sure I’m set up correctly as den leader.

I have tried clearing the dates and starting over. That did not work. I guess i will wait for the fix with an unknown timeline for my own scout’s adventures.

@TigerDL What happens when you ask one of the pack leaders (Cubmaster, Committee Chair) to approve it? Do they get the same error message?

I haven’t asked them to do that yet because I wanted this problem to be fixed for me and so I could see if there was any progress on this issue. I check everyday to see if it’s been fixed or if I get the same error message. I was waiting since the 1st reply I got said they would report this for me.

The committee chair,Cubmaster, and awards chair are all aware of the problem. A lot of the leaders in my pack are having the same issue with approving their own scout as well. It let us approve them last year and even last month but now it’s not. It’s very strange.
