Errors Trying to Enter Quick Entry on MB Requirements

Just attempted to enter MB requirements on two different MBs for several scouts that attended a camp recently and once I entered the data and hit the save button I get the " Whoops! We encountered an error trying to process your request. Our webmaster has been notified and will fix it ASAP!" message.

Ever feel like you are fighting a losing battle? I have 60 boys headed to summer camp on Sunday and guess what? They will be returning with a report on the MB requirements they have completed while at camp. Using Quick Entry is the way to get these MBs entered for these boys but it’s NOT WORKING! Plus I still haven’t gotten an answer on the Connections Manager yet. Can we see if we can get some resolution to these issues?

This is a known issue. The developers are working on it.

Okay :unamused: I guess that’s the best answer I’ll get for now. Just rather frustrating for us Advancement Coordinators trying to keep up with 100+ scouts records.

Are you using Quick Entry from the dashboard as a MBC or from the Troop page?

I am working with the programmers on the issue.
If you are using the QE in the Merit Bage Counselor menu on the dashboard, try using QE from the troop page.

Let me know if that works for you.

I’m using it on the Troop page

I noticed that you had mentioned in the Connections Manager thread that you are a Unit Admin. Have you tried resetting your unit admin position since the fix came out last night? The fix plus a reset resolved some advancement entry issues for (some but not all) other folks, and I was wondering if that might help get you going again.

I am having a lot of trouble entering my scouts MB and rank advancements from camp. Somehow, I have lost full control of the Troop but still have it for the Pack. I should have it for both Pack and Troop. I am unable to enter any of the Troops info. Please help.

@JeanneLehmkuhl Please try resetting your Troop Admin role:

  1. Go to your Troop Roster page in Scoutbook.
  2. Click on your name.
  3. Click on your Troop Admin role.
  4. Make sure the box is checked next to “position approved”.
  5. Click “Update”.

This should reset your connection to all Scouts in your troop.
