A new “library file” version on the Scoutbook pages caused spinners on multiple features. These features have been updated to work with the new file. Features fixed include:

  • Add Invitees
  • Birthday Event creation
  • Copy event
  • Event Export
  • Event Import
  • Health QE
  • MBC Quick connect from MB Page
  • Den/Patrol sub-unit selection from main messages page
  • Parent import
  • Recurring events
  • registration (new scout) import
  • Youth Leader QE

Please note that the new Den Chief position (assignment to Dens) and the Calendar Editor position are not yet supported in the Youth Leader Quick Entry. This is in development.

Features

  • The Roster Analysis has been updated to detect and report leading/trailing spaces in account names
  • Migration features have been added for converting payment log entries created using this extension and the UnitPaylog Account system for tracking unit finances, to a new native Scoutbook set of enhancements that will do this natively. Included in these migration features are an import payment log feature.
  • A dismissible banner has been added for Admins and Treasurers notifying them of the conversion for payment logs
  • An annoying popup alert will appear for Treasurers and Admins on the payment QE and on the Roster Page if the UnitPaylog Account is detected. The popup can be dismissed along with the banner.

Bugs

  • The Black Pug import has been fixed to correct issues where requirements using a different version than the current Scoutbook version may have been ignored during import, and an issue where not all badges that should have been Approved based on the request were marked as approved.
  • Black Pug import issues found during import are now saved in a text file to make it easier to find out where errors occurred.

  • An issue that caused a non-stop spinner when trying to send payment balance messages has been fixed

Framework Updates

  • Chrome is moving towards a new extension environment, called Manifest V3, and is planning to sunset Manifest V2. This release has been upgraded to V3. As a result, a new Management permission was necessary to support loading of the extension in all scoutbook tabs when the extension is manually enabled. This may result in a warning and confirmation request when it is upgraded on your system.
  • For now Firefox remains on Manifest V2 as they are not ready to support V3.
