Is there a filtering capability that I have not yet found, by which I can see any and all courses not yet completed? A primary sort by program would be appropriate of course, but then a secondary filter for any course lacking a completion date. That doesn’t seem as though it should be a challenge to process, yet I do not believe it is set up in that way.
Are you looking to sort a unit that way, or for yourself? I believe you can (or used to be able to) show only training not started relevant to the learning program for your registered position(s) at training.scouting.
That bit about, “relevant to the learning program for your registered position(s)” is the hurdle I’m trying to clear.
What I’m looking for is more along the lines of, “show only training not started relevant to any given Scouting program”.
@StewartHickman What are you trying to do with this information? Is it just training for yourself? Other leaders in your unit? Or district / council?
Initially, it is for personal. I want to know what I don’t know. If I can figure out a way to apply such filtering, I am very involved in training for Packs, Troops, District, and Council.
So, in the My Learning Dashboard at training.scouting, you can either select Courses or Learning Programs. In both cases, there’s a dropdown for “Status”.
If you select only the ones that are “In Progress”, that’ll capture the ones you have started but not finished. I believe that “Assigned” captures all of the ones relevant to your registered position(s), whether Completed or not. I don’t know of a way to show “everything I haven’t done yet but may not be relevant to my position” (i.e. anything that isn’t either Assigned, Completed or In Progress).
Your DE and maybe your DC (possibly also the DTC) might have access to some similar reports (i.e. showing training status with relevant course numbers based on registered positions) via my.scouting. However, since I haven’t held any of those roles, I can’t comment with any certainty.

If this is for yourself, and you are trying to figure out what training you need to take based on your current registered position(s), then you can:
- Log in at my.Scouting.org
- Go to “My Training”
- Click on the “My Required Training” tab (on the left).
If you are doing it for a unit and if you have access to the Training Manager at my.Scouting:
- Log in at my.Scouting.org
- Go to the “Training Manager”
- Click “Add/Search”
- Click “Search Training”
- Select one or more adult leader(s).
- Click “Position Requirements Report”, which produces a report that you can “Export to PDF”.
Another option on the Training Manager Dashboard is to click on the “Report” button under the Trained Leaders pie chart. This report can also be exported to PDF.
