Is there a handy checklist I can hand a new family on how to open a SCOUTBOOK account for the adult and the new scout to complete with the permissions they need to give for signoffs and merit badges?

The connections need to be made by a registered scouter, I thought. Also, only a registered scouter can mark something Leader Approved (equivalent to a handbook signature) for Scouts BSA or Venturing programs.
Registered scouters should be assigned the relevant permissions by a unit admin/Key 3 member. There’s a similar getting started guide for scouters here:
