Hazardous Weather Training & 'Trained'

HWT is now required for adults to be registered as a SM or ASM. However, we have a Unit Leader whose HWT has expired, but is still listed as ‘Trained’ for their leadership position. Shouldn’t HWT be current (not expired) for a unit leader to be listed as ‘Trained’ on my.scouting.org? (This question assumes that the leader was required to complete HWT at the time they were first registered.)

Not a new thing. Training team says once trained, you’re trained. Safety team says Hazardous Weather expires. So because BSA doesn’t work with its other branches to create a coherent program, we end up with this messy situation that has been around for years.

Ask your council to put in a support ticket for this.
