How to check if scout has account that should receive email?

I know that a scout will only receive email if they have it configured on their account, but also have logged into scoutbook with their own account. I just can’t remember how to check if they are configured correctly from either scoutbook or scoutbook plus. I can see they have an email, and believe they use their account, but they are not showing up in messaging on scoutbook. I do see them showing up in scoutbook plus (but sending messages that path doesn’t seem to be working yet).

@EmilyRepperger with SB+ Messages - the Scout login is no longer required to get email

So in the old scoutbook messages, if a scout has an email in their profile, should they show up as an option to send email too?

Only if they’ve logged in to classic Scoutbook at least once (not the app, the actual website).

Right so I am asking how we can tell if they have logged in, because they aren’t showing up now, but I believe they have logged in.

Just use the SB+ Messages not the legacy

There’s no obvious way to tell if a scout has logged in. This is usually a watch them login process for me. Most of the time for me, they’ve used the app, which doesn’t trigger things.

Is that fixed for larger email groups? I thought I saw messages suggesting that there was some issues being reported for (at least) groups larger than 45 recipients.

I used it to send mail Monday evening to our full troop and it no one ever got it, had to send again from old scoutbook. Figured I needed to wait a bit before using the new system. Are you saying it should be working?

A Bug was found with a large number of recipients that is being investigated

There are a couple known bugs with the SB+ messaging. Use legacy messaging. If the scout appears in the scouts section of legacy messaging, you know they are set up properly.

The issue is - Legacy SB uses a different email than appears in the SB+ profile - so the only way to know then is if the scout appears in the Legacy SB Messages.
