Youth not showing up on "send message" page

Hi,

We have 3 scouts (brothers) who are not showing up on the “send message” page and don’t have access to the send message function in scoutbook. They moved about one year ago from another troop/council. They are on roster and have emails listed in my.scouting. They have not “opted out” of email. Please help advise. One is our SPL for the year so proving a bit challenging for him to communicate with the troop.

Thanks.

Courtney

Have the scouts logged into their Scoutbook accounts? That’s a required step for them to have email access and to appear in the recipient lists

If they have logged in to Scoutbook, then do they have my.scouting accounts of their own?

@CourtneyDavis3

What are the Scouting America Member IDs (no names) for the Scouts?

If the scouts have logged into Scoutbook but are still not showing up under “Send messages” what could be the issue?

@TiffanyBeffel - I suspect that they logged into the red scouting app and not scoutbook itself. You need to see them actually login to scoutbook.scouting.org to know that they have done so

@TiffanyBeffel It might also mean that the Scout has a duplicate Scoutbook account. If you post the Scout’s member ID number, someone can check.

(No names, please)

Thank you Stephen and Jennifer. I will check with the family. In the meantime, if someone can check if they have a duplicate account, that would be super helpful. I have two to check. Thank you!

@TiffanyBeffel one needed to be cleaned up - but neither have ever logged into scoutbook.scouting.org

Super helpful! Thank you so much Donovan.
