If you award a merit badge at a troop evening, but don’t enter it on scoutbook that very evening, how do you ensure that the award date will be correct, as there does not seem to be box to enter the date that the award was given to the scout?
@PauletteWashington - the important date for anything is the date earned.
The date awarded is just audit information - the Date approved (to the right in Blue) is the official date
If you really want to be able to track what date it was awarded, you could enter it in the notes field for the rank/award.
It doesn’t seem like this is a critical piece of information (at least for my unit) where being able to edit the awarded date directly would outweigh the added complexity for typical usage. Under what circumstances do you see the date awarded being an important piece of data for your unit?
