How to transfer scouts to new unit in my.scouting.org?

I have 2 scouts that are moving to a new unit. Their new unit showed up in Scoutbook. I ended their membership in our unit and they are “moved”. They still show up in my.scouting.org and their second unit isn’t shown.

Is this something I can do or is this done by the registrar?

It needs to be done by the council Registrar. This usually happens after the new unit turns in a completed youth application (transfer) to the council.

Isn’t that how they got assigned to the new unit? Or could that have been done “by hand”?

It could have been done “by hand” in Scoutbook. For example, a parent could have changed the Scout’s Membership to the current unit.
