I have 3 scouts that got added a secondary membership on October 9

These were added as “Youth Member” of Pack #####. This happened on Oct 9, they have a message of “SBL-6333” in the optional notes on Legacy SB.

They were already in a “Tiger/Wolf/Webelos Member” Of Den #. Pack #### from September. This has not been end-dated.

I believe this dual membership is what is causing SB+ to not let me record advancements for these Scouts.

How can I avoid getting these Secondary memberships created?

What are the Scouting America Member IDs (no names) for these Scouts?

You as a leader cannot prevent secondary memerships. There are two cases where these get created.

  1. The Scout’s parents are trying to dual register them.
  2. The Scout’s parents intended to transfer the Scout but instead created a dual registration.

Once we have the MIDs we can determine what happened and what needs to be done to fix these Scouts.

The fact that these all happened on the same day is very odd.

These extra memberships are in your pack. I thought you were saying they had memberships in your pack and another pack.

We have asked the developers to investigate.

Can I end-date the extra memberships so that I can properly record their advancement, or should I wait a couple of days for “developers” to investigate?

If you could wait a couple days, that would be helpful.
