Prior to the “upgrade” to Scoutbook Plus, summer camp advancement reports generated by BlackPug or Tentaroo (.csv files) could be uploaded directly into Scoutbook, saving EVERYBODY time and headache. Now, Scoutbook Plus will only accept .txt files, and “pipe delimited” .txt files at that. I don’t use Excel regularly, but apparently pipe delimited isn’t even the default for a text file, so this is extra steps on top of extra steps. Any insight into why converting to Scoutbook Plus has made things harder, or how to work around this issue, would be appreciated. I am desperately trying to avoid having to manually enter the requirements for 5 merit badges for 34 Scouts LOL
@MichelleOakley - you can use the unit quick entry if you want to get the merit badges into the record.
It is a known issue that the extension has stopped working in legacy Scoutbook. The developers are aware Scoutbook Plus needs to be able to import the Black Pug files.
Prior to Scoutbook being able to import Black Pug files, I used Quick Entry to record completed or partial MBs and just used the last date of summer camp as the date.

AI could help you create a converter Google sheet. and make it fairly simple, to run.
@RobertWillhelm - the txt file import is a specific import provided to third party trackers. I am not certain that this is going to help.
I deal with .csv imports all the time, if you have a sample of what Scoutbook needs and sample of what the third party trackers outputs you can make a converter fairly easily.
The file formats are only provided to certified 3rd party tool developers. They are not publicly available and the SUAC has been told they will not be released.
