Inviting Scout to Connect to Account

My son created a Scoutbook account, and I went into my own account (as leader and parent) to invite him to connect so he can view his own advancement, etc. However, the connection page says he needs to delete his account in order for me to invite him.
So far, I’ve found no way for him to delete his account so we can get him connected to all his info. I checked and his email address is not the same as mine in the system.

Can anybody help?

Atlanta Area Council #092 and Silver Comet District
Troop 422 (boys) in Kennesaw, GA
