Is there a way to bulk import join dates?

Is there way to bulk import join dates? I keep getting errors on the report page because we only have about half entered.

If not I’ll get one of the key 3 to spend the hour to look up all the dates Individually, per the suggestion in the other, closed, thread.

No way to bulk import - BUT they are not official either - I just used a best guess when entering - it is only there as a filter for reports

@PeterSymonds - the best approach going forward is to enter the date as soon as they are on the roster in plus.

If the Scout has been in the troop more than 2 years or has did not camp before earning Scout rank, just use the Scout rank date. If they camped before earning Scout, enter the start date of the first campout. The primary purpose of Date Joined Scouts BSA is to filter out Cub Scout camping from the OA Eligibility Report.

yeah, most of these are older scouts where we weren’t using scoutbook actively when they joined, definitely will add to our workflow for joining scouts.

OK, based on this, I plugged away and got most of them a date based on these criteria.

@PeterSymonds If you would like more accurate dates, you can get them from the “Record of Change” Report on the Roster at my.Scouting. However, the Date Joined in that report is only the date that they joined your unit, so if your troop isn’t their first troop, then that date wouldn’t work for joining the Scouts BSA program.
