Key 3 and COR Delegates

Hello, all!

I’m trying to gain an understanding of how the roles can be edited in my.scouting.org. I’m currently the COR Delegate as the COR just resigned from the CO. The first thing I needed to do was move someone from Committee Member to Committee Chair (that role was set to change with this school year). I managed to get that changed, although it will take time for it to show. Next, for whatever reason, the former Committee Chair was showing as a Key 3 Delegate. It was my understanding that as the Committee Chair he was a Key 3 and didn’t need to also be a Key 3 Delegate. Is that correct? But, he’s showing as a Key 3 Delegate and is greyed out so I can’t remove him. The Scoutmaster is also a Key 3 Delegate that’s grey.

Next, I will need to remove the COR but I have to replace them with someone and We don’t have a new one registered just yet. Am I correct that I have to leave the currently listed COR there, with access, even though they are no longer with the CO?

Chair, Unit Leader (Scoutmaster/Cubmaster), COR - are the Key 3 and therefore do not need Key 3 Delegate.

On the old COR I think council has to replace them

Gotcha. Thanks!

I cannot figure out why the Chair and SM are listed as K3 Delegates and I can’t move them or delete them from that role.

My guess is alot of units did it thinking it gave COR access - which it did not

If any of the leaders are currently in the lapse period, you cannot remove them. I suggest you contact your council regarding the issues you are seeing. They can open a ticket with Scouting America IT if they cannot solve your issue.

Thanks for the response. They’re both current through the end of the calendar year. I’ll circle back to council. Thank you.

You might also give it a day since you just changed the CC as the registered positions being pending could have an impact.
