Is there some way to indicate who should get lead/application/auto-acceptance emails? I’m the primary person who does the online access (as a Key3 Delegate), but I don’t get notified of leads or applications, which has led in the past to applications timing out. I see that there once was an “Organization Security Manager” tab, but that no longer seems valid. Is there any functional role that does this? Barring that, is there some way to request that Key3/COR delegates also get the emails to broaden the knowledge that there is work pending?
Both. For the time being, I’m the Committee Chair, so I got one today about the youth auto-accepting. But I’m not the COR delegate either; I’m just a Key3 delegate and advancement chair, and the one who does most things online (and therefore sees things pending and pesters the COR/COR Delegate).
@JonathanWildstrom - as committee chair you do not need key delegate as YOU ARE a key 3. You also do not need the role of advancement chair. The adult apps notification goes to the COR and delegate.
I know. This is highly temporary; our Committee Chair let his SYT lapse by accident and is in the process of re-doing it. I know I could just hold the Committee Chair slot for the time being, but I’m hoping that when things line up properly (within the next week) I’ll retain the other two positions.
I’ve also realized that as Key3 I don’t need Advancement Chair, so I may drop that; I didn’t realize that until today when I was searching about this question.
But that’s only for acceptance. I basically just want a notification that there’s a pending application (when I’m not committee chair). I don’t need to accept it; I can just harass the COR/delegate then. The issue is that neither our COR nor Delegate do a lot with scoutbook and both are bad with their emails.
@JonathanWildstrom no matter what you setup when you are chair - it will not follow you to your next position necessarily. Functional roles end when a registered position ends, so if it is functional role base, it will end when you change registered position.
There is a functional role of “Regsitration Inquiry” or something like that and I THINK that does what you are looking for. I also think that it sends out notifications on applications only once a week.
Also maybe there needs to be a committee discussion on who the CORD is and what they want done. If the main job is to process adult apps, then they need to be active enough on email or checking MYST enough.
Not 100% sure but I think by not checking the Auto Accept you push everything to notifications?
We unchecked that box because we were getting youth applications from 50 miles away and then they were auto accepting and then forcing us to manually transfer them later to the correct unit. So by unchecking auto accept we prevented that from happening and get a lot of lead and application notifications. I am also the Key 3 and District Chair so I get notifications daily about these.
