Long past the grace period, adults dropped off roster, and yet still appear Registered Positions and Functional Roles

Exactly as described in the subject. These people dropped off/failed to renew. It is impossible to get these people out of the Registered Positions. I have

  1. Registered Position: Committee Members who left the troop MONTHS ago, did not renew, are not on my roster, and are long past the grace period. Still there.
  2. Registered Position: Assistant Scoutmaster: Same
  3. Registered Position: Unit Scouter Reserve: Same
  4. Functional Role: Unit Treasurer

This last one is especially confusing. First, somehow there are TWO treasurers when there should only be 1

Second, Person “A” is no longer a registered adult leader and is dropped off my roster. When I try to expire her as Unit Treasurer, I get an “invalid request” warning. When I try to expire Person “B” (still a committee member, just not treasurer) I get a “Not Found” warning.

Follow up. Since I am committee chair for a second troop, I looked, and sure enough same issue:

Adults who are NOT on the roster continue to be listed in Registered Positions.

Post their Scouting America Member IDs (no names) and we will investigate.

FYI: When I run a Record of Change Report - Adults and Non-Renewed Membership Reports, ALL of these show dropped-off roster but again, still in Registered Positions and/or Functional Roles.

I looked at all of the Committee members in both troops. Their memberships expired 12/31/24 so the lapse period ended today. I expect them to drop off the my.scouting.org roster sometime today or overnight.

I suspect the same is true for all the others.

And there was the rub. I thought the grace ended this morning, thus me looking today. I get it. That makes perfect sense. Thanks!

I thought they should have dropped overnight from my.scouting.org, they were removed from SB rosters. I have asked IT about this.

I am seeing the same issue with the Advancement Chair functional role. I tried to end their role before they expired on 12/31/2024 but the system gave me errors. I forgot about this situation until a month ago and it will not allow me to end her role. I will check this tomorrow and report back on the status.

It looks like your members that were in the lapse period have dropped off your roster. Can you confirm?
