hi i wanted to know if there a way on scout book that i can add a new merit badge to my already connect scouts with out having to removed them and re add them in
If you are approved for the MB as a MBC and Scoutmaster has approved you for the scout as MBC - you can go in Legacy to Dashboard > My Connections > Scout > add the new MB

i do not see anywhere that i can update my connection
In https://scoutbook.scouting.org from the My Dashboard page click My Account then My Connections then the Scout’s name.
just did that nothing happen its doesnt let me add a new badge the scoutmaster of the troop is having me work on 2 badge today with some scouts and i can not add them in for the new badge
You cannot start a new badge as an MBC. As I said earlier, if the MB is not in the Scout’s list on your connection to the Scout, the unit has not started the badge for the Scout. Either the Scout, Scout’s parent or Unit Admin for the troop need to start the badge.
The Unit admin can go to the Scouts Connection and click your name and add the new MB there
